 Victoria Bushfire Relief

Helping Out…

AISV has established Helping Out, a Victorian bush fire relief coordination service for the independent schools sector.

Member Schools affected by the bushfires are invited to email helpingout@ais.vic.edu.au with requests for any equipment, goods and services that you need as a result of the bushfire disaster.

Schools able to support Victorian independent schools affected by the bushfires are encouraged to email helpingout@ais.vic.edu.au  listing equipment, goods and services that you can provide.

Schools and individuals that wish to offer goods and services to Victorian government schools affected by fires should email the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development bushfire relief coordinator, Ms Dina Guest at: guest.dina.d@edumail.vic.gov.au or on (03) 9637 3776.

Fundraising

Like others in Victoria, independent schools are responding to the bush fire appeal immediately, generously and in many different ways. The range of goods, services and partnerships offered is most impressive. Many are fundraising.

There are three websites, which provide useful information about fundraising:

Within the first ten days, independent schools in Victoria raised more than $285,019 and the figure is climbing.  Please let us know how much your school has raised by emailing helpingout@ais.vic.edu.au so that we can acknowledge on this website the generosity of your students, staff, parents and friends.
