To enable the Department to assess an applicant's eligibility to become an operator, you must complete an application form and submit relevant documentation for approval as a Child Care Benefit service. If you have to comply, what do you have to do? As an operator of an OSHC service you accept the legal responsibilities associated with setting up and administering the service. These include:
Outside school hours care services will be required to participate in a quality assurance system to continue to be an approved service for Child Care Benefit purposes. What are the consequences if you don't comply? You may be in breach of the family assistance legislation. Australian Government funding may be terminated and sanctions could be imposed.
