|
AISV Compliance Framework Outside School Hours Care - quality assurance Please scroll to the bottom of the page for contacts and links Do you need to comply? Yes - if your school operates an Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) program that qualifies for the Australian Government Child Care Benefit. Conditions of compliance In order to remain eligible for continued Child Care Benefit approval, a child care service must comply with the requirements of the Child Care Quality Assurance (CCQA) five step process and demonstrate its commitment to maintaining a satisfactory level of quality child care. If you have to comply, what do you have to do? You must comply with the CCQA five step process:
Accredited services are required to prominently display the Certificate of Accreditation. Services must achieve a composite rating of Satisfactory or higher on all Quality Areas to be accredited. What are the consequences if you don't comply? Services that either fail to comply with or make satisfactory progress through CCQA may be reported to the Australian Government department responsible for administering Child Care Benefit. The Secretary of the Department may impose sanctions on a service that has failed to meet its CCQA obligations. The sanctions may include suspending or cancelling a service's Child Care Benefit approval. Who will help you?
